Patty Maloney

Patty Maloney is a dwarf actress, puppeteer, voice actress, and suit performer who has performed for as long as anyone can remember. She used her talents for several different shows over the decades; doing puppetry on Tales from the Crypt, being suit performer for both Welcome to Pooh Corner and Dumbo's Circus, and voice acting for both Scooby-Doo and The Smurfs. Patty has worked with many performers as well such as John Lovelady, Sharon Baird, Paul Fusco, Van Snowden, and more. Maloney was more famous for doing acting on shows such as Far Out Space Nuts, The Bay City Rollers Show, and Swing Shift. It's cool how someone with dwarfism can be spectacular in show business (though I read she was reluctant to do so after a tragic moment of her life). She is another of many performers that got to work with Sid and Marty Krofft, for a short time. I wonder if Patty Maloney had any difficulty puppeteering the Crypt Keeper on Tales from the Crypt since he was operated by many puppeteers with John Kassir doing the voice. Her last known appearance was on a 2011 documentary as herself, and after that, she retired from performing. I hope she'll remember how hard working she was since she did many talents on many shows over the years of her career. Even though Patty never worked with the Muppets, she at least worked with one former Muppet performer on Dumbo's Circus. Too bad Maloney is retired now, she would have been a great guest for the Muppets on one of their productions. As long as she's happy with what she did, that's all that matters. Patty Maloney, you've done great performances with both your body and your voice. Take a well deserved rest from all the hard work done over the years. And maybe get in touch with your fellow performers sometime. Excellent job Patty. Happy retirement Maloney!
