Gony Paz

Gony Paz is an Israeli puppeteer and tap dancer who took over the role of Abigail from Shani Cohen on Rechov Sumsum since 2009. She also played Abigail for Shalom Sesame (2010) in which she was able to work with Eric Jacobson who played Grover. Gony must have been excited to perform alongside the Muppet performer on Shalom Sesame since it's rare that an American Sesame Street character interacts with other international characters. Paz is also a performer in the Train Theater troupe of Jerusalem but I wonder if she did either puppetry or tap dancing with that theater troupe. Some of her several outside projects include the Hop! Channel, Nickelodeon, Baby, and BFTV. As for theater, she has performed on both Night Tours and Adventures of the Perfectly Behaved Donkey as well as creating works for both children and adults. Many other puppeteers Gony Paz worked with included Avi Yakir, Yousef Sweid, Gilles Ben-David, and Efrat Gonan. I've read that went to three schools all across Israel; the Visual Arts Theater, the School of Art and Puppet Theater, and the Isis School for Medical Clowns. If her page says that she's also a tap dancer, then how come it doesn't state any shows she danced in? When Gony gets more info about her dancing career, her Muppet Wiki page will get updated. Hopefully Paz will remain on Rechov Sumsum as Abigail until the show stops production. And who knows, maybe she'll receive an interview from a talk show or something. She just has to keep working before she gets well known for something. Gony Paz, you're amazing at puppetry and you've gone a long way from your education since. But I think you should have some info on what shows you've shown off your tap dancing skills just so people will know you do that too. Other than that, you are unstoppable Gony. Shalom Paz!
