Lindai Boogerman

Image
Lindai Boogerman is a Dutch puppeteer who performs the arm rods of Ieniemienie on Sesamstraat, the Dutch co-production of Sesame Street, with Marike Koek. Occasionally she also does Pino's right hand and the arm rods of Purk, when their normal assistants aren't available that is. How come Lindai only did assistance rather than performing her own characters on Sesamstraat? I guess Boogerman didn't feel very comfortable doing so. She also puppeteered Bert on the TV program De Wereld Draait Door, with Bert Plagman puppeteering Ernie. Outside of Sesamstraat, her other puppetry credits include Ik, Mik, Loreland and Leesdas Lettervos Boekentas (with a leading role). I've read Lindai Boogerman also does puppet theater shows for young children. Whether it's Sesamstraat or a puppet show, she sure knows a lot about making kids very happy all across the Netherlands. I wonder what she's been doing after 2019 since the show hasn't produced new episodes (though they shoul...

Ellie Darvill

Image
Ellie Darvill is a British puppeteer, actress, and voice actress who is yet another British performer that hasn't worked with the Muppets or Sesame Workshop but should have. She is perhaps best known for playing Why Bird on Playdays alongside Sue Monroe (Poppy) and Sally Preisig (Peggy Patch). I've read that Ellie also voiced several characters in many Doctor Who audio stories and spinoffs. As for acting, Darvill acted in many projects such as The Rules of Palship, Jhalle, and The Bagley Boys, just to name a few. She even acted in theater shows like The Princess Who Wouldn't Laugh, The Citadel, and Dame Elizabeth Cadbury. All of those performances would have made her perfect to assist many Muppet performers, when she had the chance. Ellie Darvill should have assisted the performers in The Muppets Christmas Carol, Muppet Treasure Island, or Muppets Most Wanted, but I guess she was way too busy working on all her other shows. At least she performed a puppet character in her l...

Guy Friedman

Image
Guy Friedman is an Israeli puppeteer, voice actor, and animator who performed on Rechov Sumsum - Shara'a Simsim, replacing Sarai Tzuriel as Kippi Ben Kippod. I wonder why he would replace Tzuriel after 1993, since she was doing so well as that hedgehog. Guy has also worked on the Hebrew dub of The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss voicing Horton the Elephant, however the media is lost. Friedman served as a prominent puppeteer throughout many Israeli children's shows like Butterfly. He also played a full-bodied character named Dudidu who is seen in many series, including Dafna and Dudidu, which is still running today. As a voice actor, his voice has been heard on the dub of a French animated series called Il Etait Une Fois... Notre Terre (whatever that means). If Guy Friedman is a voice actor, he must have more voice acting credits on his page within the Muppet Wiki. As an animator, he mainly worked at Pitchi Poy Animations, a company responsible for projects like Vegimar, Mr. Snail,...

Scott Swenson

Image
Scott Swenson is a puppeteer, writer, producer, and director who worked on various shows throughout Tampa, Florida. For puppetry, he performed both Bunny Rabbit and Grandfather Clock on The All New Captain Kangaroo alongside performers Paul Pistore and Rhonda Gdasi. Other than that, Scott mainly worked in theme parks, consumer events, and live theater/TV. In addition, Swenson also hosts his own podcast and serves as regular contributor to Seasonal Entertainment Source Magazine. From working with SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment to forming Scott Swenson Creative Development LLC, there just doesn't seem to be anything he can't do. But it's a shame Scott Swenson hasn't worked in a single project by the Muppets, Sesame Street, or Henson. He would have been perfect for Kermit's Swamp Years, Big Bag, or Animal Jam since all of them were filmed in Florida. It appears that he was totally too busy to meet any Muppet performers while he was in the puppetry career, which is un...

Paul Pistore

Image
Paul Pistore is a puppeteer, special effects artist, writer, and voice actor who is best known for working for many film directors in the feature films. Some of the films he worked on include Batman Returns, Alien Resurrection, and Men in Black 2, just to name a few. Other than films, Paul has puppeteered & done animatronics for several commercials and TV productions in the USA, Europe and Asia. Most notably, Pistore performed Mister Moose and Copernicus P. Digit on The All New Captain Kangaroo, with performers Scott Swenson and Rhonda Gdasi. I've read that he also did both puppetry and voice acting on Fox Family Channel's The Basement Block in which he wrote and directed too. In Singapore, he founded a special effects company called CoreCrewFx, responsible for building numerous special effects, puppets, costumes, and props for Universal Studios Singapore, Legoland Malaysia, and many more. Despite doing all of those wonderful things around the world, Paul Pistore has never ...
