Ellie Darvill

Ellie Darvill is a British puppeteer, actress, and voice actress who is yet another British performer that hasn't worked with the Muppets or Sesame Workshop but should have. She is perhaps best known for playing Why Bird on Playdays alongside Sue Monroe (Poppy) and Sally Preisig (Peggy Patch). I've read that Ellie also voiced several characters in many Doctor Who audio stories and spinoffs. As for acting, Darvill acted in many projects such as The Rules of Palship, Jhalle, and The Bagley Boys, just to name a few. She even acted in theater shows like The Princess Who Wouldn't Laugh, The Citadel, and Dame Elizabeth Cadbury. All of those performances would have made her perfect to assist many Muppet performers, when she had the chance. Ellie Darvill should have assisted the performers in The Muppets Christmas Carol, Muppet Treasure Island, or Muppets Most Wanted, but I guess she was way too busy working on all her other shows. At least she performed a puppet character in her life and did a series for kids throughout the 1990s. I wonder if she ever felt a little uncomfortable when performing Why Bird on-location on Playdays cause if so, she's not alone. It's not too late for Ellie ask one of her co-workers about the Muppets and what it was like working with Muppet performers. If Darvill works in a Muppet project, she'll receive the Muppet puppeteer credit on the Wiki. She just has to learn about the Muppets cause I'll bet she never even heard of them. Ellie Darvill, you're a talented actress and you did so well on Playdays and Doctor Who. I hope you'll keep acting for screen today and maybe think about meeting a Muppet performer. You never know when the Muppets will film or perform in the UK again. Until then never stop doing what you do Ellie. I bid you lots of luck for the future Darvill!
