Pat Brymer
Pat Brymer was a puppeteer, stuntman and puppet creator who only work with the Muppets in the first episode of Muppets Tonight as an additional performer. I do not know why he has not done any other Muppets Tonight episodes or projects starring them. Pat is more well known outside of the Muppets in both film and television. Brymer is known for working alongside Shari Lewis for many projects as the master puppeteer and creator of the Lamb Chop, Charlie Horse, and Hush Puppy puppets until her 1998 death. He has also served as the puppet rigger/wrangler for The Adventures of Timmy the Tooth video series. I've read that he performed a character named Isaiah for a video series called Nanny and Isaiah, alongside Terri Hardin and Bruce Lanoil. Pat Brymer appears to be more focused on outside projects rather than with Muppet ones. He is also the founder/runner of his own company Pat Brymer Creations, which creates both puppets and costumes for many years. His best known film work was creating and performing the gopher on Caddyshack, which must have been complicated for him since he was below ground. Other projects Pat worked on include The Puzzle Place, Team America: World Police, and The Dust Bunny Chronicles, to name a few. Sadly, Brymer passed away in 2020 making Carving A Life the last project he worked in. Since he died I assume his company closed its doors, after all, a company isn't the same without its founder. At least he did well assisting Shari Lewis on Lamb Chop's Play-Along and The Charlie Horse Music Pizza, and other stuff. Pat Brymer, you lived a great life and you did terrific running Pat Brymer Creations and performing in all of those productions mentioned above. I hope the Muppet performers who worked with you outside are remembering you today. Lamb Chop will not be the same without you, nor will the Caddyshack gopher. Rest in peace Pat. Farewell Brymer!
