Kimberly McDermott
Kimberly McDermott is a puppeteer, director, and designer who is another female puppeteer who hasn't worked with Sesame Street but should have. She has mainly worked for The Donut Man video series as both a puppeteer (assistant mostly) and assistant director from 1992-1995. Kimberly had what it takes to work with children, so she should have done Sesame Street when she had the chance. McDermott has worked alongside puppeteer & ventriloquist Steve Axtell as well as Lori Lehman and John Hardman. I hope it wasn't hard for her to assist the director and puppeteer at the same time. In one video, she also did the wardrobe and props. Kimberly McDermott was last seen in a documentary entitled Baby Dance as herself. She seems to be another puppeteer to not have a lot of info about herself but was only known for projects that aren't related to Sesame Street. At least she still worked with puppets, however it was mostly in the 1990s that she did that. I think that Kimberly should be very grateful to do a Christian set of The Donut Man videos, she must also be religious or something. I only hope that McDermott is alive today and planning on revealing to the world what she's been doing between 1995 and 2012. It couldn't hurt for her to show herself and maybe give puppetry another try, even though she hasn't done puppetry in years. I personally believe that if she met the Sesame Street staff, she would be a pretty lucky woman who gave a chance at being a puppeteer. Kimberly McDermott, even though you haven't done Sesame Street, you're still considered a puppeteer on this blog. You could have also gone from assistant director to main director, but your life is your choice. Until you reveal yourself again, remember how much fun you had in The Donut Man videos. Remember, have faith in yourself Kimberly. Swell job McDermott!
