Judith Broersen

Judith Broersen is a Dutch puppeteer who performs Purk on the Dutch co-production of Sesame Street, Sesamstraat. I hope it wasn't embarrassing for her to perform a baby character within the series. Judith started out her career on Sesamstraat by doing the right hand of Tommie. Broersen has also puppeteered Ernie on De Wereld Draait Door, the program that held the 40th Jubileum annual of Sesamstraat. The former has happened before 2003 when she auditioned for Purk, although she could have occasionally serve as Tommie's assistant while she was on the show. Outside of Sesamstraat, Judith Broersen worked on Koekeloere, WaWa, and Leesdas Lettervos Boekentas, alongside her co-workers Daphne Zandberg and Catherine van Woerden. She should be very proud of herself to perform Purk on the show for many years and help making the piglet "the child of the family" as stated in the Wiki. I only hope that none of her co-workers ever make fun of her when she's doing the piglet, especially when they are on break in the studio. I say Judith has turned a little piglet into a big star, which makes me think a certain character from the Winnie the Pooh franchise. No matter what, Broersen is not a laughing stock on this blog and never will be by anyone. As long as she keeps working on Sesamstraat, she'll be popular like her friends today. Judith Broersen, you're the reason Purk was added to the cast and kept the show going until 2019 when the production stopped. When Sesamstraat starts re-filming again, I'm sure you'll get to reprise the role of Purk, whenever that day comes. Until that day comes, never stop doing puppetry whether you're on Sesamstraat or off. Excellent very adorable work Judith. Never go "hog wild" as Purk, Broersen!
