Babita Kurdiya Rachoya

Babita Kurdiya Rachoya is an Indian puppeteer and actress who does Mae, Baba the Sheep, and others on the Indian co-production of Sesame Street, Gali Gali Sim Sim. She got to puppeteer alongside many Indian puppeteers on the series like Sangya Ojha, Ghazal Javed, and more. Babita is assumed more well known on the show than outside of the show to be exact. Rachoya also has a Facebook account entitled Puppet pur which she posts herself performing puppets for many appearances across India. If only she was interviewed by a podcast in America, than maybe she could explain what other performances have included her. It might not happen yet, but someday a podcast like Puppet Tears might interview her and with help from a trainer like Martin P. Robinson, she'll be able share. I think Babita Kurdiya Rachoya is one of those Indian puppeteers who has what it takes to guest on the regular Sesame Street or maybe get lessons on how to speak English. I'll bet that she never worked with others before being brought in for work on Gali Gali Sim Sim like all the other Indian puppeteers. You never know when someone might not have had any experience with puppetry before coming to Sesame Workshop to train. I am going to hope that Babita is still working on Gali Gali Sim Sim today and is probably making more friends than ever before. Rachoya can also encourage her co-workers to add posts to their own Facebook accounts and spread the word about what outside works they do. There's always a chance for a puppeteer to post on social media in their free time. Babita Kurdiya Rachoya, you're doing a great job performing both on and off of Gali Gali Sim Sim. Keep up the great work and before you know it, you'll be interviewed in no time. Just hope that things will work out in the end. Good luck to you Babita. Be lucky Rachoya!
