Bradley Freeman Jr.
Bradley Freeman Jr. is a puppeteer and is one of the newest Muppet performers on Sesame Street. He started in 2021 as the performer of Wes for Sesame Street's "Coming Together" initiative. Bradley is performing him in outreach videos to cover racial justice at the moment. Freeman later replaced Tau Bennett as Tamir on the show, starting in Season 53. The same year, he also started working for The Muppets Studio as a supporting performer for events, appearances, and The Muppets Mayhem. Bradley Freeman Jr. must be very lucky to join both Sesame Street and the Muppets and the only one to do it in the same year. I read that in addition to watching Sesame Street as a child, he also watched Bear in the Big Blue House and Between the Lions. When he grew up, he was one of the 30 puppeteers to study with legends such as Matt Vogel, Peter Linz, Leslie Carrara-Rudolph, and Martin P. Robinson on how to puppeteer. Bradley must have felt very lucky to accomplish his dream of working on the show with the legendary Muppet performers. Freeman's character Wes was paired with Christopher Hayes who performs his dad Elijah. Both Wes and Elijah will be incorporated onto the series itself in the future and then they would be official characters on Sesame Street. He is also paired with Megan Piphus who does Tamir's cousin Gabrielle. Bradley Freeman Jr., you've accomplished the impossible dream of working alongside your childhood heroes. I hope you'll keep working with both Sesame Street and the Muppets since you're doing a great job with them. You never know when you'll get a record for being the first puppeteer to work with both companies the same year. Until then, keep working with both the Muppets and Sesame Street, and you'll be famous Bradley. You're gone from beginner to real pro Freeman!
