Alex Villa

Alex Villa is a puppeteer who served as an additional Muppet performer on The Muppets (2011) and the sequel Muppets Most Wanted. He also puppeteered in a 2011 Orange commercial produced for cinemas. Alex appears to be very familiar with the Muppets since they are owned by Disney. I've read that Villa worked as a puppeteer at Disneyland since 1999, performing in shows, parades, and other events. I have no idea on what he's been doing between 2014 and 2021. He recently performed on a Muppet Halloween special for Disney+ called Muppets Haunted Mansion, where he got to assist and perform a pumpkin. Why didn't he perform other characters though? Alex Villa probably didn't have enough confidence to perform more than one Muppet in that Halloween special. I'm sure he'll do more characters in future Muppet productions. Alex is probably more famous as a Disneyland puppeteer, rather than a Muppet performer. Villa should get in touch with the Muppets again real soon and ask if he can either perform or assist in another project. It might not happen just yet, but soon that day will come for him. He at least got to work with the seven main Muppet performers such as Bill Barretta, Eric Jacobson, Dave Goelz, and Steve Whitmire. Alex Villa, the geniuses behind Disneyland were right to select you to work there for many years. I hope someday you'll perform more Muppet characters in the future. You never know when the Muppet performers will start filming another project. We can always hope that they'll select you to play a character Alex. Just keep your hopes up, don't stop doing what you do best, and before you know it, you'll be a Muppet performing star like the others Villa!

Martina Klose

Martina Klose is a German puppeteer who did both hands of Tiffy on Sesamstrasse from 1977-1988 as the head was done by Kerstin Siebmann-Roders. I wonder if she ever did other minor characters on the show before she left. Martina also worked with other German puppeteers like Benita Steinmann, Peter Roders, Herbert Langemann, and Wilhelm Helmrich, to name a few. Klose must be related to one of the early puppeteers of the show, Lothar Klose, since they both share the last name. It is a shame she does not have a lot of other information on her Muppet Wiki page. Nor does she have a self portrait since it doesn't exist on the web, yet. I wonder if Martina Klose ever had difficulty playing both hands of Tiffy since she has to move them in the coordinated direction Tiffy's head is moving. Rebecca Nagan

Rebecca Nagan is an English actress and puppeteer who has done various Henson and Muppet projects over the years. Her most notable projects were The Hoobs (as Tootle, one of The Motorettes) and The Furchester Hotel (as various characters). Rebecca has also assisted on The Muppets Christmas Carol, Muppet Treasure Island, Alice in Wonderland, and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Nagan is more well known for her outside projects. Outside of Henson, she is most well known for performing Rosie on Rosie & Jim, while other shows include Bug Alert, Becky and Barnaby Bear, and Spitting Image (revival), to name a few. She also appeared on-screen on Tots TV as a singer and performer of nursery rhymes within primary schools for segments of certain episodes.
