Thomas Fountain

Thomas Fountain is a puppeteer and marionette builder whose only Muppet work was performing the background characters on Muppets Tonight. I don't know why he hasn't worked in any other Muppet projects. Fountain could have assisted them in The Muppets (2011), The Muppets (2015), or the two live concerts at the Hollywood Bowl and the O2 Arena. Perhaps he was too busy filming during those other productions outside of Muppets. Thomas is best known as the lead puppeteer for Salem the Cat (an animatronic cat) on the Sabrina the Teenage Witch series and spin-offs. His other television show credits include Greg the Bunny, Tales from the Crypt, Toby Terrier and His Video Pals, D.C. Follies, and many more. Fountain has also performed in many films such as Worm Guy for the Men in Black films, Team America: World Police, Gone Fishin', and The Adventures of Ford Fairlane. I sure wish that he would work on more projects featuring the Muppets, even though he puppeteered background characters for many episodes on Muppets Tonight. At least he performed with the Muppets more than once on the same project. And he got a chance to work alongside the legendary puppeteers like Jerry Nelson, Dave Goelz, and Brian Henson. But I still wish Thomas would have performed in even more projects featuring the Muppets since he lives in California along with the Muppets. He's also one of the puppeteers to work on Spongebob Squarepants, like Robin Walsh did. There are barely any shows on Nickelodeon that feature puppetry. If Fountain ever decides to puppeteer with the Muppets again, he should wait until it's safe for everyone to be in person rather than social distance. If he has puppets of his own than he could puppeteer on a video from home. Thomas is another puppeteer who did all kinds of puppetry, hand puppets, marionettes, and animatronics. I sure hope that he will perform with the Muppets again soon. Thomas Fountain, you are an expert on the creature characters and you have done well performing on Muppets Tonight. Keep on puppeteering and someday you should consider working with the Muppets again on a production. If not then try the Creature Shop, they'll have some creatures you can do. It's never the end of puppetry Thomas, unless the puppeteer stops. Don't be that puppeteer, keep on working and maybe someday the Muppets will take you back. Never stop Thom!
