David Barclay
David Barclay is a puppeteer, animatronic supervisor, puppet builder, and filmmaker. He has several years of experience in Muppet and Henson projects. For the Muppets, David's most notable work was performing Sprocket for multiple international co-productions of Fraggle Rock. He has also assisted the Muppets for various films, TV specials, and two shows live. As for his work in the Creature Shop he's built and performed puppets for The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, The Storyteller, and various other productions. Barclay even supplied visual effects for a Sesame Street 4-D attraction. David Barclay is one heck of a guy to work with realistic puppets and animatronic characters. Outside of the Muppets and Henson, he has built and performed on various other projects. He mostly performed in films such as Little Shop of Horrors, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and Looney Tunes: Back in Action. David has even worked in two Star Wars movies. For The Empire Strikes Back, he was one of the builders for Yoda and served as an understudy for Frank Oz. As for Return of the Jedi, he performed the difficult Jabba the Hut. Barclay expanded his work in animatronics for CGI animation by working extensively with motion capture and animatronics for the characters. His recent work was assisting the Muppets for a live show at the O2 Arena. David Barclay, not only a you an excellent puppeteer, but you are also a technological wizard.
