Lara MacLean
Lara MacLean is a puppeteer, puppet builder, and wrangler who is known for being part of the crew in the Muppet Workshop and the Creature Shop. On Sesame Street, she played background characters and also made puppets since 1996. Lara hasn't really voiced a lot of characters, but she did perform a minor speaking role, a monster named after her, in a Sesame Street resource video. MacLean also puppeteered in various Sesame Street videos and on Sesame English (assisting John Tartaglia). She later joined the team of Puppet Heap in rebuilding some of the Muppets for their return in The Muppets (2011). Other than Sesame Street, she worked on the puppets for Bear in the Big Blue House, The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, The Happytime Murders, and Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. Outside, Lara MacLean served as an additional puppeteer for Johnny and the Sprites, The Book of Pooh, and Helpsters. I don't know why she only worked with the Muppets in the workshop and not on-screen. She has only assisted the Muppets in one project called Studio DC: Almost Live and yet she still doesn't get a character. It's not fair for Lara to not perform more than a minor character and just assist. MacLean deserves a chance to do some puppeteering work of her own and also perform characters that were built by her. She's still on Sesame Street today, but she still hasn't had a chance to perform a character yet. IMDb states that she got a character on BITBBH, but there should be proof. Lara MacLean you are an excellent puppeteer and puppet builder when it comes to working with Sesame Street. Keep up the great work on the show as well as on other Henson Company projects, when they'll be more of course. Hopefully you'll soon get another speaking role in the future, you never know. There's always a chance for you Lara. In the meantime, always have confidence within yourself MacLean!
