Bruce Edward Hall
Bruce Edward Hall was a puppeteer and writer who had performed with the Muppets between the years 1983 and 1990. His most notable project was performing Beth Bear and Masterson Rat in the film The Muppets Take Manhattan. Bruce has also worked on the Muppet Meeting Films as David Lazer Muppet and Smilin' Ed and on the video Neat Stuff To Know & To Do. Hall's last work with the Muppets was on a television special about relations around the world called Free to Be... a Family. I wonder if he did perform Beth Bear, because Beth Bear sounded like a woman. Other puppetry credits include Whirligig and Romper Room as the dual roles of Up-Up (puppet) and Kimble (costume). Bruce Edward Hall was known for writing several historical and fictional works about Chinatown and Chinese people in the US placed into many books. Since he's a seventh generation Chinese-American, he seemed more familiar with writing about Chinese stuff. It's a shame he never wrote any projects while performing with the Muppets. Bruce worked with many puppeteers such as Brad Brewer, Camille Bonora, David Rudman, and Nikki Tilroe, to name a few. Hall sadly passed away in 2003, and his final writing Henry and the Kite Demons was posthumously published. At least he got to meet Jim Henson and Frank Oz during his time as a Muppet performer. Bruce Edward Hall, you have done a good life performing with Muppets in the 80s and writing Chinese books until your death. Rest in peace and be happy to know that all the books you've made have made people of your culture very happy. I'm sure Muppet Meeting Films was your second notable Henson project. Amazing job Bruce! You were a great Chinese influence Hall.
