Anney McKilligan Ozar

Anney McKilligan Ozar is a freelance puppeteer, wrangler, and puppet builder who frequently works at the Jim Henson Company in NYC. Her puppetry work can be seen on Bear in the Big Blue House (as Rita) and the stage show version of Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas. As for the rest, Anney mostly built puppets for both The Muppets and Sesame Street. From object puppets to Anything Muppets to rebuild of classic characters, Ozar has had a lot of talent making puppets look terrific and also like old times. She also made various characters for Henson projects like Pajanimals, Puppet Up, and even The Happytime Murders. But that's not all, she also builds, wrangles, and performs puppets outside of her work with Sesame Street and the Muppets. Anney McKilligan Ozar did shows like The Book of Pooh, Blue's Room, Johnny and the Sprites, and an episode of Chappelle's Show, to name a few. In addition to puppets, she also designs costumes for many shows too, like Jack's Big Music Show. I've read that she even travels around the world with her inflatable costume project called Space Kittys which is found on her blog and YouTube channel. Anney is still working with Sesame Street today as well as the Henson Company on shows like Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. Ozar has worked with other performers too such as David Stephens, Lara MacLean, Tyler Bunch, and Matthew Brooks, to name a few. She seems to be one of the busiest puppet builders in the world since she's done so much freelance work over the years. She'll probably keep doing Sesame Street for the near future too. Anney McKilligan Ozar, you're certainly one great puppet builder and puppeteer too. Keep on working with puppets because that's how you became well known to this day. And maybe someday, puppeteer on Sesame Street, for you never know when they need more performers. Until then, keep at it Anney. You're the cat's meow Ozar!
