Andrew Spooner

Andrew Spooner is a British puppeteer, actor, and voice actor who has performed in various Muppet and Henson Company projects. For the Muppets, he performed on Muppet Treasure Island (film and CD-ROM), Muppet CD-ROM: The Muppets Inside, and Muppets Most Wanted. Andrew also did the British co-production of Sesame Street, The Furchester Hotel (as Furgus Fuzz and some other guest characters). As for The Jim Henson Company, Spooner was an assistant puppeteer on shows like The Animal Show, That Puppet Game Show, The Hoobs, and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Looks like him attending a workshop at Jim Henson's Creature Shop has paid off in puppetry. I've read that his very first puppeteering job was on Spitting Image during the mid 90's. Other people Andrew Spooner worked with include Olly Taylor, Beccy Henderson, Neil Sterenberg, and Sarah Burgess. He has also done voice work for television, video games, and even the Internet as a number of animated characters, which is pretty interesting in my opinion. Outside of the Muppets and Henson, he did more on-screen acting than puppeteering, for he acted on-screen for The Bill, The Knock, and Inspector Mouse, just to name a few. Andrew has even acting on the stage in many productions such as the classic Romeo and Juliet for Theatre Clwyd and Love's Labours at the Comedy Theatre. Even though Spooner has mostly puppeteered for the Muppets, he is also a very talented actor and voice over artist. Though I wonder what got him the job to perform on-stage in the first place. He is still lending his voice to video games today. Andrew Spooner, I hope that you keep puppeteering, acting, and doing voiceover for a whole lot more projects. You've really impressed everyone with your work with the Henson Company, Muppets, and on The Furchester Hotel. That is something in your life to be very proud of. Until then, keep up the fantastic work Andrew. You definitely became a master now Spooner!
