Artie Esposito
Artie Esposito is a puppeteer, illustrator, puppet builder, and sculptor. For The Muppet Studio, he has served as the understudy performer for Kermit the Frog. Artie has surprisingly performed in numerous projects for Sesame Workshop, The Jim Henson Company, and The Muppets Studio. Esposito mostly played Kermit three times when Steve Whitmire was unavailable. As for Sesame Street, he performed background characters in a Christmas special and puppeteered the characters in a Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. In addition to puppeteering, he has also built puppets for Jim Henson's Creature Shop and worked with Henson Alternative with the Stuffed and Unstrung troupe, on No You Shut Up, and on The Happytime Murders. If Artie Esposito has served as Kermit's understudy, than how come he didn't get the role when Steve Whitmire got fired? Not to mention that he needs more Muppet speaking roles. His outside puppetry and building work was mostly seen in live shows and adult television such as Crank Yankers, The Simpsons (as Homer), and Warren the Ape, to name a few. Artie's recent Henson projects include Earth to Ned, Tall Poppy, and Slumberkins (as puppeteer and puppet builder). Esposito must be a pretty lucky man, because he mostly puppeteered live on stage. That must make him feel like a real superstar as far as I'm aware of. Other puppeteers he worked with include Robin Walsh, Stoph Scheer, Catrina Quintanilla, and Jordan Brownlee, just to name a few. Artie Esposito, you're great at building and performing puppets, but you really should have gotten more characters to voice. I hope that will happen to you again soon. And maybe someday, assist the Muppets again on a future project, whenever that is. Until then, keep up the great Henson Company performance Artie. You're a star Esposito!
