Olga Felgemacher
Olga Felgemacher is a puppeteer and puppet/marionette builder who has performed with both puppets and marionettes for many years. First she started out working with Bil Baird Marionettes for nine years before accepting an offer from Jim Henson to perform with the Muppets. Olga performed many AMs on Sesame Street for seasons 9-10 though she was uncredited. Felgemacher also served as an additional Muppet performer for The Muppet Movie, leaving after production was completed. She later married puppeteer, puppet maker, and director Craig Marin, and together they created Flexitoon. The company is famous for making puppets and marionettes for various projects, most notably, the Jukebox Band for Shining Time Station and the marionettes and moles for Pinwheel. If only Jim Henson was alive to see what kind of work Olga Felgemacher did over time. She'd probably be one of those Muppet performers who worked with marionettes more often than the others. In addition to Craig, she got to be alongside others such as Peter Baird, Jonathan Freeman, Kenny Miele, and of course the core Muppet performers like Frank Oz and Jerry Nelson. I don't know where Olga is now, but I hope she and her husband are still alive and are performing marionettes and puppets. Felgemacher and her husband are another couple that are interested in puppetry like Jim and Jane Henson not to mention have a company. Flexitoon also produced KIDS-TV and The Hamptoons, the former being partially found media. Most of the Flexitoon puppets and marionettes are on display now. Olga Felgemacher, you're amazing performing marionettes and puppets. I just wish the producers behind Sesame Street would have given you credit for working on those two seasons. Flexitoon is where you belong, because it's where you get to express yourself and really feel like you're in charge. I hope you're still working Olga. Great string work Felgemacher!
