John Lovelady
John Lovelady is a puppeteer and puppet builder who worked with the Muppets during the 1970's. His most notable work was performing in both pilots and season one of The Muppet Show. John remained as a puppet builder for the Muppets until The Muppet Movie. Lovelady also designed and built puppets on Sesame Street and occasionally puppeteered. Why did he leave the Muppets when he could become a famous Muppet performer? In addition to TV shows, he also designed, built, and performed Muppets in specials. Outside of the Muppets, John puppeteered on various shows like The Great Space Coaster, ALF, Dumbo's Circus, and Adventures in Wonderland. Lovelady has worked alongside other puppeteers like Eren Ozker, Lisa Buckley, and Paul Fusco (a non-Muppet performer). I don't really know where he is working right now. But whatever he's doing, I hope it will make him famous like all the other Muppet performers. I've read that he is married to Nancy McGeorge, who was a background puppeteer in The Muppets Valentine Show and has two kids. Maybe that is one reason John Lovelady left the Muppets, either to follow his dream and work on other shows or to raise his family. He has even been a builder and performer on D.C. Follies which is a show I don't know. I hope that John is doing okay now and is still building and performing puppets for other projects. Nobody really knows where is right now, but I'm sure that he's still puppeteering. John Lovelady, your time with the Muppets may have been short, but you're still a Muppet performer at heart. You've done a great job on all of those other shows and are still a good person. Keep on doing whatever it is you're doing now. You're a living machine Lovelady!
