Winston Tong

Winston Tong is an actor, playwright, puppeteer, singer-songwriter, and visual artist who is best known for being a former vocalist in Tuxedomoon and his puppetry in Bound Feet. Some of the other puppet shows he did include Wild Boys, Eliminations, and Frankie and Johnnie, all his shows had incorporated work. As for music, Winston sporadically performed and recorded songs with the group Tuxedomoon from 1977-1985 & 2005 while most of his musical career was solo. Several of the songs Tong did have been recorded and were released on the Belgium record label called Les Disques de Crepuscule. It's a shame though that he never heard of Jim Henson or the Muppets because then he would have been one of those musical guests or something. Some of the other puppeteers who have been playwrights just like him are Alva Rogers and Leila Ghaznavi, while singers-songwriters include Jim Parker. Winston Tong is definitely another one of those performers to record singles whether with a band or a solo career. But I must say that his acting/puppetry projects have been well-known since his performances incorporate work by writers, composers, and poets from around the world. Despite doing puppetry back then, he's more known for his musical career than his performing arts career. Winston is still performing today but it's unknown what he recorded at the moment due to his website being unsecure for researchers. Tong will still be considered one of the puppeteers by me, presumably because of his work on Bound Feet, one of his best known. He's probably one of the only puppeteers to be a new wave musician since the band Tuxedomoon does new wave music. Hopefully at some point in the future, he'll remember his past life and all of the performances he did over the years. Winston Tong, despite never doing anything that's related to Muppets, you've still did well with that Bound Feet show. You are also wonderful at singing and songwriting for your musical career. Keep on performing solo and also keep in touch with all of the friends you've made over time. You've got some sick music vibes Winston. Rock it to me Tong!
