Sid & Marty Krofft

Sid & Marty Krofft were a Canadian sibling team of TV creators, writers, puppeteers, and TV and film producers who were known for making numerous US children shows during the 1970s. Through their production company Sid & Marty Krofft Pictures, some of their most well-known projects include H.R. Pufnstuf, Land of the Lost, and Sigmund and the Sea Monsters. Both Sid & Marty never worked with the Muppets, but they have worked with several Muppet performers on lots of their projects. The Krofft brothers worked with them on Pryor's Place, D.C. Follies, Toby Terrier and His Video Pals, and on their last known show Mutt & Stuff. Over the years of their career, the two brothers have been acknowledged for their vision and creativity on their projects and also won numerous awards for some of their shows they did. In addition to television, they also did a few films such as Middle Age Crazy, Side Show, and Harry Tracy, Desperado. It's kind of a shame Sid & Marty Krofft took a long break from the 1990s all the way to the mid 2010s, that's like several decades without a project. I'll bet in their earlier projects, they puppeteered on some of those shows as well as created, wrote, and produced them. The two men were another pair of puppeteers to be siblings, others include The Chiodo Brothers and Patrick & Sean Johnson. But sadly, the dynamic duo ended up being split for in 2023, Marty died, leaving Sid alone. It's a shame one Krofft died which means the end of the company. And who knows, the other brother will probably die too when his time comes. But until then, he's probably retired from working on television now and still remembering his brother to this very day. Sid & Marty Krofft, you two were great men to brighten up kid's lives over the years. The company may be gone, but your spirits will forever remain in everyone's hearts. Bur until the day you die Sid, Marty will be waiting for you. Excellent cooperation you two. Even if there's only one of you for now, the world will never forget you Krofft brothers!
