Phil Vischer

Phil Vischer is a filmmaker, puppeteer, voice actor, animator, and author who is best known for creating the animated Christian franchise VeggieTales. For the franchise he created, directed, produced, wrote, & composed for many videos and movies, as well as voicing hundreds of characters. Phil has also run two production companies over the years, Big Idea Productions and JellyTelly (now called Minno), with the former creating VeggieTales. Vischer also puppeteered and starred as himself on a show called What's in the Bible, through his business vision JellyTelly of course. But it's a shame though that he never worked with any Muppet performers during his career, he probably never even heard of those people. For years, VeggieTales has been giving children a unique kind of entertainment through religious stories and even silly songs, and he voiced almost every character for that, including Bob the Tomato. Phil Vischer is yet another puppeteer to be very religious, with others being Steve Axtell, Kimberly McDermott, and Andy Holmes. Apart from VeggieTales and JellyTelly, he also works on his own shows such as Galaxy Buck: Mission to Sector 9, 3-2-1 Penguins, and The Mr. Phil Show, the latter he still does today. In addition to making videos and television, he published many religious books since 1997 including the most recent one God is Bigger than the Boogieman. I believe Phil definitely has the skills of a filmmaker and makes the impossible possible, from animating to puppetry to composing. Let's hope Vischer will meet Muppet performers someday or at least learn about the Muppets and what they've done over the years. But until then, he should keep on being a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to show business. He's got the mind of Jim Henson almost for he does almost everything. Phil Vischer, you were wonderful with VeggieTales and magnificent with every production you made and starred on in your career. You have really outdone yourself with so many skills of filmmaking and performing. Definitely go down in history as one of the greatest filmmakers in the world. Always remember VeggieTales Phil. You're a real master Vischer!
