Alberto Estrella

Alberto Estrella is a Mexican actor and puppeteer who is known for being the 1st performer of Abelardo Montoya (originally called Serapio Montoya) on Plaza Sesamo from 1981-c.1992. Apart from that show he has mostly been an actor on Mexican film and television since the 1980s. Some of the films Alberto did include lead roles in Santitos, Fibra Optica, and more, while minor roles in Hollywood movies have included Ruby Cairo and Man on Fire, to name a few. As for television, Estrella has been a regular on Pasion, Ringo la Pelea de su Vida, Como dice el dicho, and Locas de amor, just to name a few. The only other puppeteer he worked with during his time on Plaza Sesamo was Jaime Vega, the performer behind Bodoque the Grouch. It would appear that this person is more of an actor than a puppeteer for he's been doing the former much longer than the latter. Alberto Estrella is still considered one of the first Mexican puppeteers to work on Plaza Sesamo, as well as the first one to perform a Mexican Muppet. If only he stayed longer on the show, than he would've met more Mexican puppeteers, but he chose to leave, and his character was taken over by Hector Marquez and others. He's still acting on Mexican television and film today as seen on El Gallo de Oro, Killer Babes, and Abracadaver. Alberto is now a master Mexican actor within both film and television since he's been doing it from the beginning of his career, the 1980s to be exact. Estrella could be an influence for other Mexicans who are interested in acting because he's done it for like almost his whole career. You never know when someone will idolize him for his roles in some of the films mentioned. And I hope he still remembers doing Plaza Sesamo. Alberto Estrella, you are muy bien when it comes to acting in Mexican film and television. Performing the early Abelardo is what made you the actor you are today. Keep on acting, and always remember Plaza Sesamo if you can for it's been years since you last performed on that show. Good luck Alberto. You're a star Estrella!
