Alexandra Posen
Alexandra Posen is a puppeteer, mask maker, and artist who is known for her various works of art seen at Lynch Tham, Nycams, Bullet magazine, and various blogs. In the late 90s, she did performances in the world of puppetry and masks, as well as puppeteering on episodes of The Book of Pooh. Alexandra may not have done a Muppet/Henson project, but she has performed with various Muppet performers in 2002 while doing Book of Pooh. Posen is also the sister of fashion designer Zac Posen and has worked with him for nearly a decade as creative director to establish a global brand. She has done unique forms of art such as wax drawing series and fields, abstract paintings, and fabricated fashion clothes for many magazines and such. Fashion designing must run in the family in her case, since her brother is a famous fashion designer now and she does work with him. Alexandra Posen should consider working with the Muppets at some point in the future because I think she would be perfect, not only to puppeteer, but also to help make costumes for Miss Piggy. Other puppeteers she worked with include Barbara Pollitt, Jon Ludwig, Matthew Brooks, BJ Guyer, and tons of others, all on Book of Pooh. I wonder if someone gave her some training prior to assisting on those table-top puppets. Who would have thought that a talented artist like Alexandra would be the sister of fashion designer Zac Posen? I wonder if there are other types of fashion designers like Posen who have also done puppetry in their lives. You never know what sort of people do puppetry and other skills in the world. Let's hope she'll keep on doing works of art for every person to study and learn more about what sort of materials she uses when making it. Alexandra Posen, you may not have puppeteered a lot, but you're incredibly talented at art. If you're still working with Zac in the fashion areas, keep at it, otherwise continue making works of art for the public domain. You're the first puppeteer on this blog to do fashion as well. Very stylish Alexandra. Marvelous works Posen!
