Tony Lymboura

Tony Lymboura is a British puppeteer, animator, and visual effects artist who did several Muppet and Creature Shop projects taped in the UK. His first project was being one of the additional performers in The Muppets Christmas Carol (which was also his very first film job). Tony later did the Clodhopper in the middle when they appeared in the 1993 Royal Variety Performance, and also did Muppet Treasure Island and Muppets Most Wanted. Lymboura only did one Creature Shop project (as of now) which was 101 Dalmatians. His other puppetry credits include the film Dead Air and a series by Gerry Anderson called Firestom (the latter with Andrew Spooner and Lesa Gillespie). Besides puppetry, he also works as a freelance animator and visual effects artist with his own company, Moonlight Motion. Some of the visual effects work of Tony Lymboura include The Wrong Door, many BBC projects, and previously developed games for Nintendo 64, PlayStation, and Xbox. Some of the Muppet performers he worked with include Michelan Sisti, Mak Wilson, Ian Tregonning, and John Henson, to name a few. He was last seen doing visual effects for a 2022 film called Hosticide and it is currently unknown what he is doing now. Perhaps Tony is currently planning more Moonlight Motion projects or is maybe thinking about giving puppetry another try. I wonder why Lymboura hasn't done a lot of Creature Shop projects when Muppet Wiki says he has done several of them. Someday he should get interviewed and maybe then he will explain what other Creature Shop projects he did over the years. I also hope that he'll work with the Muppets again on a future project, if they ever film something in the UK again. Tony Lymboura, you've done great with the Muppets and you're still doing good running Moonlight Motion. Keep dreaming up new ideas for future projects. Give puppetry another try too. Peace Tony. You visualized Lymboura!
