Bruce Hunter

Bruce Hunter is a Canadian actor, puppeteer, writer, director, and producer who only performed on the Canadian Sesame Street special, Basil Hears a Noise. He has a more vast work outside of Sesame Park as mainly an actor for television and film. Bruce's only other puppetry is seen on Puppets Who Kill and Kids' CBC, the former he did for adults and the latter he did for children. Hunter has mainly been an actor on-screen for numerous different projects such as The Red Green Show, Phil the Alien, Meet the Family, and more. He has also written for shows like After Hours, SketchCom, and Comics!. He even voice acted on Time Warp Trio, Atomic Betty, Cyberchase, and Ace Ventura (series). There just doesn't seem to be anything that Bruce Hunter can't do when it comes to television. As a director, he directed The Kids in The Hall, Grocery Mishap, and The Puck Stops Here, just to name a few. Other puppeteers he worked with include James Rankin, Ali J. Eisner, Pier Paquette, Bob Martin, and many others who did Basil Hears a Noise. I wonder if Bruce had any difficulty puppeteering since he acts on-screen more than he does puppetry, or perhaps he was trained to puppeteer. Of all the Canadian actors, Hunter has been the most busiest since he also writes, produces, and directs, for many projects. He's still acting on-screen today as seen on Murdoch Mysteries, Shelved, and an upcoming project called Dog Wash, which involves a car wash. Maybe someday he'll give puppetry another chance since he did so well with it on Puppets Who Kill and Kids' CBC, not to mention Basil Hears a Noise. Bruce Hunter, you're probably one of the best Canadian people to perform and run shows. I hope you'll get your own page on Muppet Wiki soon, same goes for others like Kathy MacLellan and John Nolan. Until you puppeteer again, do consider practicing it in your free time. You sure are splendid at acting Bruce. Perfect job Hunter!
