Frederick Warder

Frederick Warder is a British actor and suit performer who has done the latter for numerous Creature Shop projects. He was featured in several episodes of The Storyteller as the Half Man, The Heartless Giant, and both the Troll and Trollop. Frederick had the chance to act outside of a costume on Muppet Treasure Island as one of the pirates named Calico Jerry. Warder even appeared in The NeverEnding Story III as a creature called Mr. Rockchewer, working with Kay Bradshaw, William Todd-Jones, and Iris Schleuss. His other film credits have included Flash Gordon (1980), The Living Daylights (a James Bond entry), and Evita in which he got to work alongside singer Madonna. As for television, often as policemen, include appearing on Casualty, The Bill, Dalziel and Pascoe, and Doctors. Frederick Warder seemed to have a lot of experience acting out as a police officer, not to mention a Creature Shop regular as many costume characters. He even acted on stage, including a 1976 UK touring production of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Department, whatever that is. His other suit performing role (as well as his only puppetry role) was on Gophers with puppets by Ron Mueck and performers Victoria Willing and Francis Wright. The latest appearance of Frederick was in the film Alice Through the Looking Glass which was released in 2016. Nobody has heard from Warder since then, nor had any idea if he's still alive today. Let's just hope that the Creature Shop will remember him for The Storyteller and the Muppets will remember him for that one film. There is always a chance for him to be remembered by the people he was close with. Frederick Warder, you've done wonderful with the Creature Shop and for all of those film/television projects. I'll bet you looked wonderful as a policeman. If you're retired now, keep living a normal life until you die (whenever that is). Terrific job Frederick. Peace out Warder!
