Jack Tate

Image
Jack Tate is an actor and suit performer who has performed the bodies of several guest and background characters on Dinosaurs. He performed alongside Tom Fisher, Pons Maar, Star Townshend, and Tony Sabin Prince, all of which were suit performers. Outside, Jack is best known for being in the costume of "Jack", CEO of Jack in the Box in well known TV advertisements. Otherwise, Tate is mostly an actor and can be seen in guest spots of The West Wing, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and more. As for film, he worked on Theodore Rex, Warriors of Virtue, Martians Go Home, and Blade. I wonder if he ever has difficulty moving around in a costume while wearing an animatronic head over his own head. Jack Tate seems to do it with ease since he's done it for years with Jack in the Box advertisements as well as on Dinosaurs. I wonder what he's doing now since he was last seen in 2002 and nobody knows when the character he played was dropped. If he's still performing today, he shoul...

Dan Van Wyck

Image
Dan Van Wyck is a Canadian actor, puppeteer, and suit performer who doesn't have a lot of information about himself but has worked many projects. As a puppeteer/suit performer, he performed on 2 projects by Radical Sheep Productions, Ruffus the Dog and Panda Bear Daycare. Dan has also acted on-screen in Wingin' It and Naturally, Sadie but neither of them featured puppetry in one single episode. Wyck could have done other projects featuring puppetry, but apparently nobody has heard from him between those years. He has however worked with other puppeteers while at Radical Sheep such as Suzanne Merriam, Ben Deutsch, Fred Stinson, and Karen Valleau. It's a pity he never worked in any Canadian project by the Henson Company such as Brats of the Lost Nebula. At least Dan Van Wyck worked with some Muppet performers outside at Radical Sheep Productions, even though it was for only 2 years. If he's still alive today, he might still have contact with some of the puppeteers he work...

Adam Hunt

Image
Adam Hunt is a puppeteer, voice actor, and the brother of Richard Hunt who didn't really do much with Muppets like his brother had. He served as an additional puppeteer on The Muppet Movie and later he voiced the Two-Headed Monster in a Sesame Street CD-ROM game called Let's Make a Word. Adam was last heard doing Scooter's voice (but not the puppetry) in Muppets from Space. Hunt should have done voice and puppetry for Scooter in that appearance, but he probably forgotten how to puppeteer since he only did it in 1978. At least he worked with Muppet performers over the years such as Don Reardon, BJ Guyer, Eddie May, and Caroly Wilcox. Nobody really knows what happened to him after Muppets from Space was filmed and released. This picture above shows Adam Hunt with his mother but it's currently unknown when and where the picture was first taken. Personally, I think he would've done wonderful doing both the voice and puppetry of Scooter. That's something Richard Hunt...

Ben Deutsch

Image
Ben Deustch is a Canadian puppeteer, puppet builder, and production manager who is known for doing freelance work all across Canada. Most notably, he worked for Radical Sheep Productions for several years puppeteering on The Big Comfy Couch, Ruffus the Dog, and Panda Bear Daycare, he also built puppets for the latter two. Some other puppet work Ben did included Ants in Your Pants (as Woodchip), Wilbur, The Fuzzpaws, and Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. In addition to puppets, Deutsch served as production manager for many shows like Bob the Builder, Super Why, Little People, and Inspector Gadget. Over the years, he worked with many puppeteers such as Marty Stelnick, Yolanda Yott, Helene Beaulieu, and Colin Penman, to name a few. I wonder if he likes being a production manager more than a puppeteer since he feels more in charge doing the former. It's one of the biggest jobs for Ben Deutsch to do when managing production not like a producer/director of course. Too bad he didn't...

Rosa Pou

Image
Rosa Pou is a Spanish puppeteer and mayor who played Vera on the Spanish co-production of Sesame Street, Barrio Sesamo, from 1996-2000. It's a shame she didn't have her own page on the Muppet Wiki until last year. Some other puppeteers Rosa worked with include Vincent Ortola, Joan Bentallé, and Jordi Arus, all of which had their own individual character. Outside of that, Pou performed Lupita on children's puppet series Los Lunnis and also puppeteered on Los Algos and Bitbath. I don't know why she decided to stop doing puppetry in her later years after she was doing such a great job entertaining children over the years. She later entered politics and was mayor of Caldes d'Estrac (a town within an area of Barcelona) from 2016-2021, five whole years to be exact. Rosa Pou must the first puppeteer on this planet to be mayor (well former mayor actually). But it's a shame she never got to meet two former Barrio Sesamo puppeteers, Chelo Vivares and Alfonso Vallejo, beca...

Irit Shilo

Image
Irit Shilo is an Israeli puppeteer and actress who performed Dafi in Rechov Sumsum--Shara'a Simsim, the Israeli/Palestinian co-production of Sesame Street. She performed alongside Guy Friedman, Rajai Sandouka, Fadi al-Ghoul, and Gilles Ben-David. Irit should be lucky to have worked with such fine puppeteers for many years on that production, well from 1998-2002 to be exact. Shilo has also done a chicken named Urza on an Israeli children's show called Parpar Nehman. Besides puppets, she acted on-camera in a supporting role in the independent film Out of Sight where she played Tirza. In addition she is also a prolific dub actress, voicing Zibadi in The Wizard of Oz anime series and several roles in The Littl' Bits. Other than the Wiki page, Irit Shilo doesn't seem to have a lot of info about herself on other sites besides the Muppet Wiki. She does have a Twitter account though as it says on the internet, but there's only one post and that was posted back in 2013. Nobo...

Magda Crudelli

Image
Magda Crudelli is a Brazilian puppeteer who was the original performer of Bel on Vila Sesamo before 2016 when Thais Carvalho took over. There's hardly any information about her, other than the projects she puppeteered on. Magda also puppeteered on Cocorico (as Lilica), Ilha Ra-Tim-Bum (as Suzana), and Que Monstro te Mordeu? (as Valquiria the newscaster). Crudelli has also performed with Fernando Gomes and Neusa de Souza while working on Vila Sesamo, and she also worked with Kelly Guidotti on Cocorico. I wonder if she ever got trained by a Sesame Street performer to work on Vila Sesamo. But perhaps she should be interviewed on a Brazilian talk show of some sort so that the administrators of the Muppet Wiki will know more about her and add to her page. Magda Crudelli is another one of those puppeteers to not have a lot of bio info, well except for the projects she puppeteered on. Cocorico may be her best known project she has done outside of Vila Sesamo, at least I assume it. Maybe s...

Simon Williamson

Image
Simon Williamson is a puppeteer and actor who served as an additional puppeteer on The Great Muppet Caper, The Muppets Christmas Carol, and Muppet Treasure Island (though uncredited in the latter). He also performed on The Dark Crystal as UrSol, Garthim, and the right hand for a Skeksis. Simon seems to be experienced with performing a Mystic as they're very hard to operate. Williamson has done other projects outside, including Star Wars: Return of the Jedi as multiple aliens (Max Rebo for example) and assisting on Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors. As an actor, he appeared on-camera in Campion, The Bill, and Waiting for God, to name a few. Some other puppeteers he worked with include Toby Philpott, Sadie Corre, Robbie Barnett, Timothy D. Rose, and many more. I've read that Simon Williamson is also a writer and director as it states on his website, but it's unknown what projects were by him. Currently he's done signing appearances all over the world since 2004 and his ...

Regis Fassier

Image
Regis Fassier was a French puppeteer and suit performer who performed Nac within the French Sesame Street co-production 5, Rue Sesame. In addition, Nac (his character) has also served as the mascot of broadcaster France 5. Regis also performed Bag on the French co-production of Big Bag, Sacatruc, and he even puppeteered on Muppets TV. Fassier seemed to have done a lot of French Muppet-type projects over the years whether he's wearing a costume or holding a puppet in his hand. Outside of Muppets, he played Footix, the 1998 World Cup soccer mascot and performed Casimir on Casimir Show, with Yves Brunier. Other French puppeteers he worked with include Charlie Bazire, Christophe Albertini, Evelyne Scheigam, and more. Regis Fassier seems to be one of the many international Sesame Street performers to perform in French Muppet projects too, as there hardly any Muppet productions that are un-dubbed in the country language when international. He also appears to be one of those rare puppetee...

Barnaby Harrison

Image
Barnaby Harrison is a British puppeteer who is best known for being the co-founder and co-partner of Global Puppeteering Services with his colleague Patrick Comerford. For the Muppets, his only known work was being one of the additional performers on Muppet Treasure Island, at least he was credited for doing so. Barnaby is lucky to have a colleague puppeteer to help him form the company. Harrison has done numerous puppetry credits outside in films and television. Films include Babe: Pig in the Big City, 101 Dalmatians (the live-action Disney version), Seed of Chucky, and Blade II, just to name a few. As for TV, he worked on Wizadora, Spitting Image, and Round the Bend. Barnaby Harrison should have done more work with the Muppets like in the film Muppets Most Wanted or done shows by the Henson Company such as The Hoobs or Construction Site. Still, he got to work alongside Muppet performers (besides Comerford) such as Joan Morris, Geoff Felix, Heather Tobias, and Paul Zerdin, as well as ...
