Steven Ritz-Barr
Steven Ritz-Barr is a puppeteer and puppet builder who did background characters on Muppet*Vision 3D and Muppets Tonight. He got to work with Jim Henson in the former and Frank Oz as well. I have read that Steven is the president of Metropolitan Puppet Authority, a non-profit entity dedicated to the puppetry arts. For film, Ritz-Barr puppeteered in Men in Black, Batman Returns, and Team America: World Police which featured many puppeteers. He has also done filmmaking for his own puppet stuff such as Quixote, The Legend of Joan of Arc, Lorelei, and even a music video performed by They Might Be Giants. Other puppeteers he worked with include Len Levitt, Joe Selph, and Mark Bryan Wilson. It appears to me that Steven Ritz-Barr is most familiar with marionettes rather than Muppet-type puppets, at least that's what it says on IMDb. He is probably the only puppeteer to be president of a non-profit entity as well as the Metropolitan Puppet Authority being the only entity dedicated to puppetry. He has also produced, written, and directed the three personal projects mentioned above, and should probably do that for his next production involving puppetry. Steven has what it takes to work with the Muppets again, but then again, the last time he worked with the Muppets was years ago. Ritz-Barr doesn't have to work with the Muppets again, I just think he should do it. You never know when The Muppets Studio will ask him to assist on their next project. It'll just take time for that to happen. Steven Ritz-Barr, you should pray to Jim Henson in heaven as a thank you for getting the inspiration for your projects. I hope the next project you make will be just as good as your other ones. Keep on making puppet productions and maybe try to operate a Muppet-style puppet again soon. Great job Steven. You're cool Ritz-Barr!
