Kathy MacLellan
Kathy MacLellan is a Canadian puppeteer and writer who has done more than many people think she did in her life. She worked as an additional puppeteer on the Sesame Park special, Basil Hears a Noise which featured her friend Bob Stutt. Kathy has served as a writer for children shows such as Under the Umbrella Tree, Theodore Tugboat, and Mr. Dressup. MacLellan has mainly performed for Rag & Bone Puppet Theatre, a company that toured throughout North America since 1978. Her husband John Nolan (Jackson on Crazy Quilt) has also served as additional puppeteer on Basil Hears a Noise, and maybe on Under the Umbrella Tree too. Some other puppeteers she worked with include Bob Dermer, Patricia Lewis, and Karen Valleau, just to name a few. I never knew Kathy MacLellan did more than anybody ever expected and without telling anyone about it until an interview with MASC earlier this year. That would explain why there's no page about her on Wikipedia or the Muppet Wiki. She should get in touch with her fellow performers again someday and try to remember how big a help she was writing on all those kid shows and puppeteering too. I read Kathy did her own shows with Nolan like Felicity Falls and Peter Rabbit with over 3,000 views when livestreamed. I hope MacLellan will continue to perform with Rage & Bone Puppet Theatre for the future. That's where the Muppet Wiki should get info about her and put it to their own words. Kathy MacLellan, you've surprised everyone when you revealed the work you've done in that interview back in January. I hope you and John Nolan will remain a couple in the puppet business. And maybe soon, you might be asked to do a Canadian project by either Sesame Workshop or the Henson Company. Just keep on performing Kathy. Reach for the stars MacLellan!
