Art Vega

Image
Art Vega is a puppeteer who was an additional Muppet performer on The Muppets (2011), Lady Gaga & the Muppets' Holiday Spectacular, and Muppets Most Wanted. Outside, he mainly puppeteered at Disneyland in several shows, parades, and events. In addition, Art has also done special Muppets made for Disneyland on the VoluntEars Cavalcade in 2010 and The Muppets Christmas Caroling Coach in 2021. Other performers Vega worked with include Alex Villa, Sarah Sarang Oh, Nicolette Santino, and Drew Massey, to name a few. I'm guessing that his performances at Disneyland is the reason he was chosen to assist the Muppets in those three projects mentioned above. He was also a puppeteer in a Spanish short film called Para Ellos (2015) working on animals. Art Vega is also a photographer and filmmaker as said on his website, but it's unknown right now what projects he did on either of those two. His other works have included Eugene, Screen Junkies Movie Fights, and Kids Imagine Nation (a...

Colleen Daley

Image
Colleen Daley is a British actress, voice actress, and puppeteer who is best known for being the voice and animatronic operator of Fizz and Izzles on Tweenies. She hasn't worked with the Muppets in any projects, but she should have. I'd say Colleen would have made one perfect additional performer on Muppet Treasure Island or Muppets Most Wanted since both were filmed in the UK. Other projects Daley worked on have included BB3B, The Block, and more recently, Call the Midwife, the former being animated. Some of the other performers she worked with include Bob Golding, Justin Fletcher, and Sally Preisig, the former two also haven't worked with the Muppets. She should have also worked on The Furchester Hotel since it's a co-production of Sesame Street and a kids show. Colleen Daley is probably much happier doing what she does now, acting in serious adult series and movies. However, on Tweenies, it looks like the characters are operated in the same style as the Gorgs on Frag...

Sue Monroe

Image
Sue Monroe is a British actress, puppeteer, writer, and TV presenter who is known for being presenter of CBeebies. She also puppeteered on Playdays (as Poppy) and The Shiny Show (as Tigs) with a few other puppeteers like Sally Preisig, Ellie Darvill, and Wim Booth. Even though Sue did puppetry, she hasn't worked with the Muppets in any projects. I think Monroe should have done either The Muppets Christmas Carol or Muppet Treasure Island since both were filmed in the UK. I've read on IMDb that she also acted on the Baby Einstein series, but there should be photographic evidence. Perhaps being a hostess was something she was happier with since she puppeteered on location several times within the Playdays series. I believe Sue Monroe had what it takes to work with the Muppets, she probably never even heard of them in the beginning. But she's not the only one, there are probably over a million other puppeteers who never heard of the Muppets or the Henson Company. She stepped do...

Helene Beaulieu

Image
Helene Beaulieu is a Canadian puppeteer who has performed in various Treehouse TV productions such as Ants in Your Pants, 4 Square, The Bittles, and more. She worked alongside some puppeteers like Jeff Sweeney, Marty Stelnick, and Caitlin O'Reilly. It is a shame Helene has not performed in any Henson Company projects since lots of them were filmed in Canada where she lives. But I guess Beaulieu was happier in the Treehouse TV company, even though she could have met Fraggle Rock performers. And there's another thing, there is hardly any information about herself. Nobody knows what else she does or if there were any other puppeteers she met. Helene Beaulieu has however worked with Fraggle Rock performer Trish Leeper on 4 Square since the latter designed and built the puppets. But she should meet some other Canadian performers like Yolanda Yott, Terry Angus or Fred Stinson, the latter two working with Sesame Park. Maybe someday, if she's still performing today, she'll get ...

Jim Napolitano

Image
Jim Napolitano is a puppeteer and anime dub actor who hasn't performed with the Muppets or Sesame Street but has worked with several Muppet performers outside on Between the Lions. On that show he mostly did minor characters and in one episode, supplied the marionettes and sets for the Icarus story (with Tim Lagasse). Other than puppetry, Jim has also dubbed a few anime shows, most notably Sonic X and Kirby: Right Back at Ya!. I've read that Napolitano also puppeteered on a Chanukah special in Weinerville where he got to work with Marc Weiner. But other than that, he formed his own company entitled Nappy's Puppets, which does several shadow puppet shows for people. It's a shame that he has never worked with the Muppets, Sesame Street, or the Henson Company. Looks like Jim Napolitano is another person who worked with shadow puppets other than Jon Ludwig, Sue Dacre, and Annie Peterle, just to name a few. He is also another puppeteer who has dubbed for anime like several o...
