Uta Delbridge

Uta Delbridge is a German puppeteer, actress, and writer who performed Finchen on Sesamstrasse, the German co-production of Sesame Street from 1992-1999. She also played her for an uncredited guest appearance on the New Years Eve special, Sesame Street Stays Up Late. Uta along with a couple other international Sesame Street performers should have received credit for that one special. Delbridge could have also performed other characters on Sesamstrasse during her time there. Outside, she has appeared on many German series such as Inga Lindsrom, Here Comes Kalle (which she also a writer), and three Katie Fforde romance TV movies, and that's only a couple. She could have also wrote on Sesamstrasse in addition to being Finchen. I don't know why Uta Delbridge left the series after 1999. She must have been more interested in acting on film and television rather than puppetry. I've read that she also teaches yoga, like Star Townshend of Dinosaurs. I wonder if Uta ever travelled in the past to teach yoga to other people. Delbridge is probably still puppeteering or teaching yoga today from home. She could have got to work with other Sesamstrasse performers like Constanze Schmidt or Iris Schleuss, but I guess she'd rather do what she's happy with. Her career should keep on going until she decides to stop performing on television. Uta Delbridge, you've done a great job being a snail on a street. You'll be happy to know that Andrea Bongers is keeping you're character alive today. Keep on teaching yoga or acting on screen and you'll be remembered always. There's always a chance for you Uta. Put yourself into it Delbridge!
