Sima Sultani

Sima Sultani is an Afghan puppeteer who performs or voices Zari in Persian language on the Afghan co-production of Sesame Street, Baghch-e-Simsim. She also performs her brother Zeerak which I'm not sure on how they interact as both are performed by the same puppeteer. Sima appears to be talented at doing siblings on a Sesame Street international project. Sultani should have puppeteered other Baghch-e-Simsim characters, but there was no material. Her characters were dubbed in the English version by Haley Jenkins and Frankie Cordero when making appearances in the US. I hope she is still performing the two siblings in Afghan since their isn't a lot of new material on Baghch-e-Simsim. I hope that in the future, there will be more Afghan Muppets so Sima Sultani will have more people to work with. Also  Sangya Ojha would perform her character in India while Mansoora Shirzad did the Pashto language. I believe that there are other international Sesame Street characters that have different performers when speaking different languages. Sima should perform Zari and Zeerak when Sesame Street decides to do an international crossover on the series or specials. Sultani should find other Afghan puppeteers and ask if they would like to perform with her. It might not happen today, but it's just an idea for the future. That doesn't mean it won't happen. Sima Sultani, you're doing a great job performing siblings in Afghan and on appearances within that country. Keep on performing those two in the Persian language and maybe you could guest star on the US version of Sesame Street. You've got this Sima. Splendid job Sultani!
