Caitlin O'Reilly

Caitlin O'Reilly is a Canadian puppet designer/builder and puppeteer who is another person that should have worked with the Muppets or Sesame Street. She has worked in many different puppet workshops such as Radical Sheep Shop and L'Atlier Des Griffons, to name a few. Caitlin built puppets for Big & Small (in which she also puppeteered), Radical Sheep projects, and It's a Big Big World, just to name a few. In addition to building puppets for television and web/commercial, O'Reilly has also puppeteered on many Canadian TV shows such as Mr. Meaty, Wilbur, Apollo's Pad, and Wildwoods. She's a total expert on creating different size characters from small finger puppets, to common hand puppets, to full bodied costumes. This is why she would be perfect to work with the Muppets. Caitlin O'Reilly could make the kinds of puppets the Muppet performers have never used before. She also should have worked with the Muppets or Sesame Street whenever either of them were filming in Canada. The Jim Henson Hour, Follow That Bird, or Sesame Park were all filmed in Toronto where she lives, so could have the chance to either puppeteer or be in the workshop. Personally, I believe Caitlin still has a chance to work with the Muppets, they just have to make something in Canada. O'Reilly should also have done Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock since it's in Canada. I sure hope that she's still working on television. Maybe someday she will get her chance to work with the Muppets. Caitlin O'Reilly, you're superb at making puppets of different sizes and types. You have got to work on Sesame Street or the Muppets and show off your talent. You've built with Karen Valleau who was on Sesame Park, so you should have done that show too. Until then, keep building and performing puppets Caitlin. And just be patient O'Reilly!
