Kristin Newman

Kristin Newman is a writer and producer who's worked in television since the mid 1990s. She joined ABC's The Muppets in November 2015, where she replaced Bob Kushell as showrunner, starting on the 10th episode. Kristin also performed a Muppaphone in "Because... Love" during a performance of "You Are the Sunshine of My Life" by Jack White. I do not know why Newman never produced and wrote any other projects with the Muppets. It's probably because she didn't have any interest in doing work with the Muppets back then. At least she got to perform a Muppet character while working with the Muppets. Kristin seemed to do a great job at puppeteering, even though it was a one time thing. It seems that working on The Muppets was a first for her because she worked with puppets. Outside of the Muppets, Newman was a writer/producer for various other shows such as The Neighbors, Chuck, How I Met Your Mother, That 70's Show, and Everybody Loves Raymond (working on a production staff). It's amazing that one woman can write and produce various popular shows. I read that in 2014, she released a memoir called What I Was Doing While You Were Breeding. Kristin Newman must be the only woman who worked with the Muppets to have written a memoir of her very own. Maybe she will inspire the Muppet performers to create memoirs of their own too. I just wish that she will work with the Muppets again real soon. Maybe she'll be a writer/producer for the Muppets new upcoming projects Muppets Now. There are loads of other shows in which Kristin was a writer and producer on and maybe they'll be more shows that she'll write/produce on. Maybe Newman should enter puppetry like the Muppet performers but that's up for her to decide because it what she enjoys that makes her happy. Kristin Newman you do a great job at both writing and producing. You have also done a good job at performing a Muppet character for one episode. I hope that you will work on another Muppet project when they decide to make another. And when you do, ask if you can try to perform a Muppet character again. You don't have to do it, but it's just something I'm suggesting. Keep producing and writing for television and you'll be remembered for your work. Splendid TV work Kristin Newman!
