James Godwin
James Godwin is a puppeteer, puppet builder, performance artist, visual artist, and actor. He served as an additional Muppet performer on Elmo's Christmas Countdown and A Muppet Christmas: Letters to Santa. James also served as a Muppet designer and builder for Puppet Heap in The Muppets (2011) and Muppets Most Wanted. Godwin's non-Muppet work work is vast, as he built and performed puppets in Blue's Room and puppeteered on It's a Big Big World (as Bob), The Book of Pooh (operating Pooh), Oobi, and Between the Lions. I read that he also founded a puppet troupe called The Elementals, which did a performance at the Jim Henson International Festival of Puppet Theater and also did guest puppets for an episode of Between the Lions. He's also a voice actor and writer since he co-wrote and starred in an adult puppet variety stage show that's called Uncle Jimmy's Dirty Basement. As a voice actor, the voice of James Godwin can be heard on Sheep in the Big City, Stake Land, Ice Age 2: The Meltdown, and more. He was also a very lucky man to work with famous music stars such as Julie Taymor, David Bowie, and even Aerosmith. His latest Henson projects include Julie's Greenroom and The Happytime Murders while his recent outside show was Helpsters. I wish James would show the Muppets how much work he's done and all the famous people he got to work with. I've also read that Godwin has even won a Jim Henson Award for Innovation for his one man show, Lunatic Cunning. His show was also a recipient of a 2012 project grant from the Jim Henson Foundation. There are so many things for him to be proud about in his life, mainly founding The Elementals. James Godwin, you have impressed the whole world with your work with the Muppets and on all those other outside stuff. It's a Big Big World was probably your best known one. I'd definitely say you're a real master. Keep working with puppets James. You're like a god Godwin!
