Don Reardon

Don Reardon was a puppeteer, voice actor, and puppet designer who worked in several 1990s Muppet productions. He performed uncredited on Sesame Street during it's 25th season as various characters and also did the special Elmopalooza. For the Muppets, Don performed a few characters in the Muppet Meeting Films and also did CityKids and Dog City. The only outside show Reardon did was The Puzzle Place as additional puppet designer. I have read that he was the 1st winner of Jim Henson's Character Design Competition, when it was launched in 1988. How come he hasn't worked during the 1980s? In 1995, Don Reardon provided the voice of Guy Smiley in two Sesame Street CD-ROM games. His life of puppetry hasn't lasted long as he passed away in 2004. He should have continued performing with Sesame Street and the Muppets when he had the chance, now it's too late. Don could have also worked in the Muppet Workshop making new characters or assist in the design of new Muppet characters. Only wish that Reardon was still alive so he could resume working with the Muppets and Sesame Street on new projects. He should have remained with Sesame Street since he can puppeteer and voice act really well so he shouldn't have died. It must have been no fun for him living with a long-term illness, as said in an article on his page. Don Reardon, you may have been a Muppet performer for a few years but at least you showed off your puppetry and voice acting talents to both the Muppets and Sesame Street. Not to mention you worked with a few well known puppeteers. I hope you rest in peace and that people will recognize your talents and remember you always like I'm writing about. You've really outdone your own self during your time Don. You have lived a good life, now go and rest in peace Reardon!
