Christine Glanville

Christine Glanville was a British puppet maker and performer who only worked in the Creature Shop film Labyrinth (goblins puppeteer), along with fellow Anderson vet Mary Turner. I do not know why someone else from the same company also only worked with the Creature Shop only once. Christine could have worked in The Dark Crystal, The Witches, or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when she had the chance. But I guess she was also happy with doing something Mary Turner does. Glanville was a key collaborator on Gerry Anderson's "Supermarionation" series. Some of the series include Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, Fireball XL5, Supercar, and Thunderbirds. She served as chief puppeteer and also built various characters, such as Thunderbirds regulars Scott Tracy, Alan Tracy, and Tin-Tin, whoever they are. It's a shame that Christine only got to work with Jim Henson for Labyrinth because she seemed to do a great job building and performing puppets on the "Supermarionation" series. Well at least she got to work with the legendary puppeteer while she was alive. Glanville has passed away 1999 and it seemed like "Supermarionation" would be useless without her, even though they stopped making new projects after 1969. It's too bad that she's dead now, because she could have worked with the Creature Shop for more productions when she had the chance. I wonder if Christine Glanville has done any other projects besides working with the "Supermarionation" series. I'm sure she was a core person when it came to "Supermarionation" along with Mary Turner. I just hope that Christine rests in peace and maybe her spirit can remember all the great shows she had a chance to work on. She might be remembered forever by the people she had worked with. Glanville got to work with a couple of the famous puppeteers like Kathryn Mullen, Angie Passmore, and David Rudman. Now I wish she wasn't dead so she could work on more Creature Shop projects with more Muppet performers. It is a shame on how life works. Christine Glanville, you've lived a good life and you've done an awesome job for "Supermarionation" with Mary Turner. Rest in peace and you'll always be remembered by the people you've worked with at "Supermarionation" as well as Mary. You've performed a good life Christine!
