Star Townshend is an actress, suit performer, and yoga instructor whose only Henson Company show was on three seasons of Dinosaurs. She occasionally filled in as Charlene Sinclair in episodes of the third season when Michelan Sisti was not available. Other than serving as a utility additional dinosaur performer from the second season onward, Star also performed the bodies of various characters, such as Caroline Foxworth and Mindy in several episodes along with one-timers. Townshend was later one of the several performers for the title character in Buddy. I think performing in all of those costumes has made her very hot and tired. Wearing a character costume can be very heavy and it can get really hot in those suits. Star Townshend must be really glad she never has to perform in another costume after working in Buddy. Outside of Dinosaurs, Townshend's only film work was in a Bill Murray film called Larger Than Life where she did a bit part as a clown. I wonder what made her stop acting on-screen after all those years. She probably thinks that acting is a lot of hard work and how difficult it is to wear a costume and animatronic head for hours. Star later co-founded Yoga Oasis, and she serves as the program coordinator and instructor. Townshend is probably the only Henson Company actress to found a yoga academy that teaches many different yoga poses. I wish that she would return to the Henson Company someday and maybe teach other actors to do yoga to help them relax. It can be a busy time for puppeteers to work in a lot of productions. Maybe Star could ask the company if she can teach yoga for whenever they take a break. She may not be a puppeteer, but she still did a great job at performing on Dinosaurs. Maybe one day her students could visit the Henson Company and ask to be trained so they can become puppeteers or suit performers. Star Townshend, you're a flexible person and a yoga pro. I hope you keep working at Yoga Oasis & teaching people how to do specific yoga poses. And maybe someday you'll think about how much you enjoyed working with the Henson Company and how flexible you became from wearing a body costume with an animatronic head. It just goes to show how much working with Henson can make you a great person. Star, you're a star!
