Mandy Travis

Mandy Travis - Freelance performer puppeteer musician | The Dots
Mandy Travis is a British puppeteer and actress who has only assisted the Muppets on Muppets Most Wanted. I don't know why she only worked with the Muppets for one film. Travis could have assisted either the Muppets or the Henson Company during the times they filmed in the UK. She should have assisted with Mopatop's Shop or The Animal Show, maybe as a way in which she'll be good with kids as well as families. I've read that as an actress in theatre and television, her interest in puppetry began following visits to the Little Angel Theatre with her son. Mandy eventually started performing within the theatre in 1997. She also performs puppet shows with her own company Lost and Found Theatre, which was founded by her. Her TV credits include the role of Oink the pig on GMTV's MacDonald's Farm along with Michael Bayliss and Damian Farrell. The rest of her credits were mostly acting roles that's seen in episodes of The Bill, EastEnders, Birds of a Feather, and many more TV shows. Not to mention appearing in many TV commercials. I wonder why Mandy Travis did more on-screen acting than puppetry when it comes to working on television. All those shows must have taken place before she developed an interest for puppetry. I just wish that she would perform more projects that involve the Muppets. Maybe when the Muppets are in the UK again, Travis could ask if she can assist them in their next project. At least she's another Muppet puppeteer to have founded her own puppet theatre troupe. Maybe Mandy can show the Muppets that she's worthy to be a Muppet performer by showing them the shows she's puppeteered in such as Jabberwocky, Ugly Duckling, and Beauty and the Beast, just to name a few. This shows that although she hasn't done a lot of puppetry for television she did a lot of puppetry for theatre. Mandy Travis, you've got a talent for puppet theatre and you've done well acting on all of those television shows and commercials. I just hope that you would meet up with the Muppets again and assist them in another project. One Muppet project isn't enough to become a clear performer for the Muppets. Keep on puppeteering and you'll be a Muppet performer in no time MT!
