Jodi Eichelberger

Jodi Eichelberger is a Brooklyn-based puppeteer, writer, director, and composer who has served as an additional Muppet performer on The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland. I don't know why he only did one Sesame Street film and not other Sesame Street projects. IMDb also states that Jodi also performed on Bear in the Big Blue House (though he was probably uncredited for doing so). Eichelberger is more well known outside of Elmo in Grouchland, his best known show was LazyTown (as Stingy). He also puppeteered on The Book of Pooh and It's a Big Big World and also voice acted on an animated movie called The Fixies: Top Secret. As for theatre, he was a member of the original Broadway cast of Avenue Q as an ensemble/understudy performer with Peter Linz. Jodi Eichelberger has also performed and been involved creatively in many stage shows, though it's unknown which shows. He was even a member of two Portland-based puppet troupes known as Tears of Joy Theater and Other Hand Productions. But his Muppet Wiki page doesn't state his writing, directing, or composing credits, probably because nobody knows what shows he did either of those things. Jodi should be proud to have been lead puppeteer on LazyTown since the show teaches kids about being healthy and strong. Other performers Eichelberger worked with include Amanda Maddock, David Matthew Feldman, Julie Westwood, and Raymond Carr, to name a few. Let's hope he's still performing for stage shows today as well as remembering how much fun he had on LazyTown. I'll bet someday there will be proof that he did Bear in the Big Blue House because IMDb isn't always accurate with the cast. Jodi Eichelberger, you were wonderful as a snobbish puppet character on your best project. You were also great within the theatre and those puppet troupes as well. Keep on puppeteering, if you're still able to that is. Well done Jodi. Peace Eichelberger!
