Iestyn Evans

Iestyn Evans is a British puppeteer and puppet designer/builder who first started his Creature Shop work in the stage show Doctor Dolittle. Evans later went on to assist on other Creature and Muppet projects. For the Muppets, Iestyn assisted in Muppets Most Wanted, while his Henson work landed him as an additional performer for The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. He even been an additional puppeteer on The Furchester Hotel during its second season. I wish Iestyn Evans would perform his own character when he worked the Muppets. Outside of Muppets and Creature Shop, Iestyn has been partnered with Andy Heath and together they run Talk to the Hand Productions. They both designed, built, and performed the characters for The Mongrels. Evans also did some solo puppetry work which can be seen on Fimbles, Yonderland, and The Evermoor Chronicles (to name a few). As for his movie work, he has puppeteered on the Star Wars films The Force Awakens and Solo. He was pretty lucky to be able to work on Star Wars like some of the other Muppet performers or puppeteers. I only wish that he would perform a character with the Muppets because anyone who can both create & perform puppets deserves a chance to do a Muppet character. A lot of people don't get a chance to both voice and perform a Muppet. So that's something that has to change sooner or later. Whenever a puppeteer assists on a Muppet or Henson project, they deserve a chance to become a performer, just like Iestyn Evans need to do. Whenever the Muppets perform in the UK, he should ask if he can work with them too. Iestyn Evans, you are one lucky guy to work with Muppets and Star Wars like your partner Andy did back then. Keep on working with puppets, and maybe perform a Muppet someday. Ciao Iestyn!
