Mark Jefferis

Mark Jefferis is a British puppeteer, dancer, and musical theater performer. He started out in the theater before he transitioned to puppeteering, starting with Spitting Image. Ever since then, Mark performed on several Muppet and Creature Shop productions that were filmed in England. Jefferis puppeteered on Muppet Treasure Island as an assistant and was one of the main performers on The Hoobs (as Hubba Hubba, Groove, & Twang Motorette) and Construction Site. He also sung the theme songs on both productions he was the main performer on. As for the Creature Shop, he performed on The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Outside of the Muppets and The Hoobs, Mark Jefferis has puppeteered on various other kid shows like Potamus Park, Big Garage, Bunnytown, and The Roly Mo Show, just to name a few. As for film, he mainly puppeteered on some Star Wars films, as a creature and droid puppeteer, which must have been complicated for him. He has also acted on-screen several times as seen in Florence Nightingale, Tightrope to Terror, The Bill, and many more. Some of the other puppeteers Mark performed with include Don Austen, Wim Booth, Rebecca Nagan, and John Eccleston. Recent projects Jefferis has done include the Spitting Image revival and Ollie and Friends which I must say is very limited. People don't seem to know what he's capable of since he can puppeteer great and is also excellent at singing, as seen on The Hoobs. Let's just hope he'll do more Creature Shop stuff the next time they film something in England. Mark Jefferis, you're a wonderful puppeteer and actor as well as a great singer. Your friends Louise Gold and Frederick Warder must have felt happy to work with you. Keep on puppeteering and acting so the Creature Shop will select you to do their next project. Until then, excellent performance Mark. Some chops you got Jefferis!
