Bob Stutt

Bob Stutt is a Canadian puppeteer and writer whose Henson work started on Fraggle Rock. On Fraggle Rock, he served as a principal supporting puppeteer, performing episodic/background roles, and even filled in as regular characters (to pre-recorded tracks). For Sesame Street, Bob worked on the Canadian co-production, Sesame Park where he replaced Tim Gosley as Basil as well as the first Sesame Street film Follow That Bird. Stutt even assisted the Muppets within A Muppet Family Christmas and The Jim Henson Hour. Why didn't he show off his writing talents to Jim Henson? Outside of Muppets, his best known show was Under the Umbrella Tree as a writer and performer of Iggy Iguana and others. Other shows Bob Stutt puppeteered on included The Big Comfy Couch (also wrote), Today's Special, and Caillou, just to name a few. His writing credits were seen on Wimzie's House, Eric's World, Groundling Marsh, and Radical Sheep projects (ex. Ruffus the Dog). He is somewhat of an expert when it comes to performing for kids. Bob was often paired with Robert Mills, Stephen Brathwaite, and Noreen Young, just to name a couple. I've read that Stutt also performed in a Toronto stage production of Little Shop of Horrors, but I would like to see proof. His latest Henson Company production was in a series of 2013 Kohberg commercials where he and Matt Ficner performed two Creature Shop puppets. From a little dust bunny to a big monster, he has operated them all like an expert. Bob Stutt, you are one of the crafty puppeteers and you're splendid at scripting. You've been great at reprising the role of Iggy Iguana for many appearances. Fraggle Rock made you who you are today as well as all your other projects, Under the Umbrella Tree & Radical Sheep stuff. Very creative performance Bob. Same with scripts Stutt!
