Damon Berry

Damon Berry is a South African actor, puppeteer, voice actor, and filmmaker who performs Neno, the South African version of Elmo on Takalani Sesame. He spoke in nine languages on that show and got to perform with other South African puppeteers such as Nozizwe Zulu, Nyanga Tshabalala, and Boitumelo Betty Maretele. That was Damon's only puppetry credit in his career, but he still does wonderful as an international version of Elmo. Outside of Takalani Sesame, Berry has acted for television, theatre, and film too. The films he acted in were Black Butterflies, Zenon, and Starship Troopers Marauder while his television credits include The Alliance, Fallen, History of America, and To the Ends of the Earth. As for stage, he performed in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Amadeus, The Glass Menagerie, and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, to name a few. In addition to acting on both screen and stage, Damon Berry is also a writer, director, and producer for films and plays. He wrote and directed four stage plays, one film, and two short films which consist of Room 306, The Adventures of Supermama, Engage, and more. But no matter what position he is in entertainment as cast or crew, he definitely knows how to put it all together into something for everyone to enjoy. Let's hope Damon continues to perform Neno on Takalani Sesame for the near future (though technically Neno now goes as Elmo). I wonder which Muppet performer of Sesame Street trained Berry to operate a puppet prior to the beginning of the production. There's just no telling what this man will do next in his career, whether it's acting, writing, directing, or producing. You never know what a performer will have in store next. Damon Berry, you're a swell international version of Elmo and you're doing fantastic in the world of entertainment. Keep on acting and filmmaking so the whole world will see how talented you are, more than before to be precise. I hope you stay in touch with your fellow Takalani Sesame co-workers. That's some rockin' good acting Damon. Peace out Berry!
